The problem with Deborah is that she was paired with Bryant. They are both coolish, uptight, and/or prickly personalities and they didn’t complement each other. That’s why Bryant paired well with Jane and Katie. If Deborah had been paired with a more laidback cohost, I think she would have been more successful in the role. I do think it was time for Jane to move on. I think after someone has been a show like this for 10 years, we get tired of them. I thought Katie was great on the show, but by the mid 2000s, you could see that she was bored and it was time for her to move on.

I don’t dislike gay people, I don’t deny their right to do whatever they wish in the privacy of their own home. But, I also find the thought of gay sex repulsive. This doesn’t make me a homophobe but I’m sure if gay people knew this was my view, I’d be mercilessly vilified. This set up is along similar lines.
